Frequently Asked Questions...
PLEASE CONTACT US WITH ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS!
What thickness do I need?
1/4" (6mm) is a great option for general purpose flooring, it's suitable for lighter activities like light cardio, yoga, stationary equipment, bodyweight exercises and can handle dropped weights usually around 50lbs or less. 5/16" (8mm) is our most popular home gym thickness for mixed cardio, light strength training and weightlifting. 3/8" (9mm) is industry standard thickness for commercial gyms, moderate weight/strength training and all around general gym purpose flooring thickness. 1/2" (12mm) is for the most intense workouts, heavy weightlifting, heavy dumbells, frequent barbell drops. We also recommend 3/8" at least, but preferably 1/2" in areas where kids are more prone to play and fall down.
What if I'm not 100% satisfied with my purchase?
Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right. Rubber flooring is a different process than other traditional in-home flooring, manufacturing isn't always 100% perfect, some very faint lines or areas are absolutely common in all rubber flooring production, don't trust any rubber flooring source that promises otherwise. They're hoping you don't notice, most people don't. It's really not anything to worry about or should disway you from rubber, but we are trying to educate and set proper expectations. If any mistakes occur, please let us know as soon as possible so we can get it fixed.
Why should I avoid Horse Mats?
Rubber Flooring uses components that are safe, non-toxic and friendly for the environment. Horse Mats are imported overseas and don't have to meet indoor air quality (IAQ) tests because they aren't meant for human use, they're meant to be used outside in an open environment like a barn. This is because they use a process called Vulcanization, other rubber flooring manufacturers sell Vulcanzied rubber as well as a cheaper rubber flooring choice, welcome to America! You can do your own research but this style of rubber production releases carcinogenic VOC's that aren't meant to be breathed in or used in an enclosed area and they continue releasing them slowly everytime your shoe rubs against it. Hence that very strong 'rubber' off-gassing I'm sure you've been made aware of, that often never goes away. Your respiratory system shouldn't pay the price, you breathe in 3x as much oxygen during a workout than you normally do. Rubber Flooring often isn't the cheapest option, Foam with 1/100th rubber on top or Stall Mats have become a lot more common, we often sell to people who have regretted these cheaper alternatives and end up spending double in the long run. After the Foam falls apart, or the smell never goes away.. Rubber Flooring can last decades, when compared to the lifespan of other flooring it will last 5x longer and you will never regret choosing traditional Rubber Flooring as your flooring option.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to deliver your order as soon as possible. Once your order has been received it goes into our queue, due to high demand, your expected delivery is 2-4 weeks. But will never be over 4 weeks. We will reach out as soon as possible to coordinate a set delivery date as soon as we get the chance. We deliver all our rubber in-house and rarely use 3rd party carriers. This gives us the chance to connect with our customers, answer questions in person, help bring heavy rubber where it needs to go (other companies drop a pallet in your driveway and best of luck!) and we explain our process of installation to help save you time, money and energy.
Where are your products manufactured? Are they safe?
All the components in our manufactuering are 100% safe for kids and animals, sourced directly from the U.S. and produced in Ohio, by Ohio workers. Our Rubber Flooring meets Environmental Protection Agencies Indoor Air Quality tests. (IAQ)
How much does shipping cost?
Other Rubber Flooring websites advertise a low 'cost per sqft' and then overcharge on freight shipping which ends up putting your total out-the-door cost much higher than anticipated. We don't like this trickery, so we charge a simple flat rate fee of $100. (There are very very rare cases where we might reach out for an additional freight charge, this is incredibly rare and might occur when weight becomes a issue or distance is a lot further than normal, we will reach out ASAP to communicate with you in this case.)
